This compact package is well suited to Canadian cafés, boutiques, reception areas, small offices and hospitality spaces where suspended speakers provide a cleaner installation than conventional in-ceiling models.

Designed for Smaller Open-Ceiling Spaces

Pendant speakers suspend below the ceiling structure and direct sound toward the listening area. This makes them a practical option for exposed ceilings, high ceilings and interiors where flush-mounted speakers cannot be installed.

TEXONIC DXT60

The DXT60 combines source playback, microphone mixing and 60W amplification in a compact desktop unit. It supports 70V and 100V speaker systems and includes Bluetooth, FM radio, USB and SD MP3 playback.

TEXONIC PZ50

The PZ50 is designed for distributed background music in open commercial interiors. Its selectable 70V and 100V power taps allow installers to balance coverage and listening level for the space.

Three-Speaker Tap Examples

For reliable commercial operation, keep at least 20% amplifier headroom. The recommended speaker load should remain at or below 80% of the DXT60’s rated 60W output.

60W × 80% = 48W recommended maximum load

3 × 2.5W 7.5W Suitable for soft background music
3 × 5W 15W Recommended for normal café or office use
2 × 10W + 1 × 5W 25W Suitable when two areas need more output
3 × 10W 30W Safe for higher background music levels
Suggested starting setting: Set all three PZ50 speakers to 5W for a combined 15W load, then increase the taps only when additional output is required.
Use the amplifier’s 70V or 100V output and select a compatible transformer tap on every speaker. Never connect these speakers to the 4Ω or 8Ω terminals while using their transformer settings.

Basic Pendant Speaker Connection

  1. Select either the DXT60’s 70V or 100V speaker output.
  2. Connect the selected output terminal and COM to the first PZ50 speaker.
  3. Run another two-conductor speaker cable from the first speaker to the second.
  4. Continue the parallel connection from the second speaker to the third.
  5. Keep wire polarity and transformer settings consistent throughout the speaker line.
  6. Secure each pendant speaker using the appropriate suspension and safety hardware for the ceiling structure.
