Collection: Haut-parleurs suspendus

Pendant Speakers

Which Commercial Pendant Speaker Should I Choose?

Compare TEXONIC pendant speakers by output, amplifier compatibility and installation flexibility. Both are designed for suspended installations in open-ceiling commercial spaces.

Model Best For System Power Frequency Range Finish
PZ50 View product → Compact background music systems 70V / 100V 5W max at 70V
10W max at 100V
150Hz–20kHz Black or White
PX50 View product → Higher-output music + 8Ω flexibility 70V / 100V / 8Ω Up to 30W 70Hz–20kHz Black
Quick Tip: Choose PZ50 for compact background-music systems where lower speaker tap settings and a choice of black or white finish are useful. Choose PX50 when you need higher output, fuller low-frequency response or the additional flexibility of 8Ω operation.

Choosing Pendant Speaker Power and Amplifier Type

Pendant speakers are often used in open-ceiling commercial spaces where several speakers need to share one amplifier. Selecting the correct system and power tap helps provide consistent coverage throughout the room.

70V / 100V Distributed Audio

Best for multiple pendant speakers and longer cable runs. Several speakers can share one commercial amplifier line, making 70V/100V systems practical for restaurants, retail stores, offices, showrooms and other open-ceiling spaces.

Each speaker is connected using the appropriate transformer tap. Add the selected wattage of every speaker to calculate the total load connected to the amplifier.

8Ω Low-Impedance Audio

Available on PX50. The PX50 can also operate with a compatible 8Ω low-impedance amplifier when a conventional low-impedance speaker system is preferred.

PZ50 is intended for 70V/100V distributed systems and should not be presented as an 8Ω speaker.

PZ50 Tap Example:

On a 70V system, PZ50 provides 1.25W / 2.5W / 5W settings. On a 100V system, PZ50 provides 2.5W / 5W / 10W settings.

For example, six PZ50 speakers set to 5W each create a total connected speaker load of: 6 × 5W = 30W
Important: Confirm the amplifier output type and speaker setting before installation. For 70V/100V systems, calculate the combined wattage of all connected speaker taps and leave suitable amplifier headroom. Do not connect an 8Ω speaker setting to a 70V or 100V amplifier output.
