Simple Speaker Power Calculation

Each SC-630TU speaker is rated at 30W on a 70V line. When connected to the EX240D 100V output, each speaker uses approximately 60W.

Recommended setup: Three SC-630TU horn speakers use approximately 180W on the EX240D 100V output. This leaves approximately 60W of amplifier capacity.

Golden Rule for Commercial Speaker Systems

The combined wattage of all connected speakers must not exceed the amplifier’s maximum output. This three-speaker package uses approximately 180W of the EX240D’s available 240W power.

Basic 100V Speaker Wiring

  1. Connect the EX240D amplifier’s 100V and COM terminals to the first horn speaker.
  2. Continue the same two-conductor speaker cable from the first horn to the second.
  3. Connect the third speaker in parallel from the second horn.
  4. Keep the speaker polarity consistent throughout the system.
  5. Confirm all connections before switching on the amplifier.

Permanent outdoor speaker wiring and mounting should follow applicable Canadian electrical, building, fire and structural requirements.
