This DXT60 and PZ50 package is designed for open commercial interiors where ceiling tiles are not available or where a suspended speaker style looks better with the room design.

Five pendant speaker locations allow music to be distributed across customer, service, and work areas at a comfortable level. This helps reduce loud spots while improving overall coverage throughout the space.

Connection Notice: Use either the DXT60’s 70V output or 100V output and calculate the speaker load using the correct PZ50 tap values for that voltage. The same coloured transformer wires represent different wattages at 70V and 100V. Blue is COM. Do not connect the PZ50 speakers to the amplifier’s 4Ω or 8Ω terminals.

Installation Reminder: Ceiling suspension, safety cables, and permanent speaker wiring should meet applicable Canadian electrical, building, and fire requirements.

Five-Speaker Tap Examples

Keep suitable amplifier headroom for reliable commercial operation. The recommended connected speaker load should remain at or below 80% of the DXT60’s rated 60W output.

5 × 2.5W 12.5W Suitable for soft background music
5 × 5W 25W Recommended for normal commercial use
3 × 10W + 2 × 5W 40W Suitable where selected areas need more output
4 × 10W + 1 × 5W 45W Maximum recommended configuration
5 × 10W 50W Not recommended because it exceeds the 48W design target
Suggested starting setting: 5W per speaker provides a combined 25W load. Use the Red wire for 5W on a 70V system or the Yellow wire for 5W on a 100V system.
Use the amplifier’s 70V or 100V output and select a compatible transformer tap on every speaker. Do not use the 4Ω or 8Ω terminals for this distributed speaker installation.
