Product Overview

This package is designed for larger commercial and industrial properties where announcements need to reach several indoor or outdoor work areas.

Using six horn speaker locations allows paging coverage to be spread around the property instead of relying on a small number of excessively loud speakers.

The TEXONIC CH30T provides focused directional speech projection, high 113dB sensitivity and an IP65 rated enclosure for properly installed indoor and outdoor applications.

The EX500D provides 500W of Class D commercial amplification in a low profile 1U rack-mount design.

It includes Bluetooth and USB playback, three microphone inputs for paging, two AUX inputs, a line level output and built in chime and alarm functions.

MIC1 is the microphone priority input for important paging announcements. MIC2 and MIC3 operate as standard microphone inputs.

For this package, all six CH30T speakers connect to the EX500D 100V speaker output. With all six CH30T speakers set to 30W, the complete speaker load is 180W.

CH30T Speaker Tap Example

For many paging installations, start with the 15W tap and increase individual speakers to 30W where additional output is required.

The appropriate tap depends on speaker placement, listening distance, background noise and the required paging level.

Add together the selected wattage of all connected speakers before powering the system.

Keep the combined speaker load within the amplifier's rated output and leave suitable operating headroom.

Basic 100V Speaker Wiring

  1. Connect the EX500D 100V and COM terminals to the CH30T speaker line.
  2. Connect all six horn speakers in parallel along the same 100V circuit.
  3. Maintain consistent speaker line polarity throughout the installation.
  4. Confirm the selected 100V transformer tap on every CH30T before powering the amplifier.
  5. Use only one EX500D speaker-output type at a time. Do not operate the 100V and 8–16Ω outputs together.
Important: Turn off the amplifier before connecting speakers, changing tap settings or servicing the speaker line.
Installation Note: Secure every horn speaker to a suitable load-bearing structural surface and aim each horn toward the intended listening area. Outdoor wiring, speaker cable entry and mounting should be protected appropriately and follow applicable electrical, building, fire and structural requirements.
Product Note: The CH30T is designed primarily for clear voice paging and announcements rather than full-range background music.
