The TEXONIC TXP120C10 combines the EX120D 120W commercial mixer amplifier with ten AF206T two-way ceiling speakers to create a practical background music and paging system for medium size commercial spaces.

The EX120D provides Bluetooth wireless playback, USB media playback, AUX connections for external audio sources and microphone inputs for paging and announcements. MIC1 provides voice priority so important announcements can be heard clearly over normal background music.

Product Overview

This package is designed for clear background music and everyday paging in restaurants, cafés, retail stores, offices, clinics, salons, showrooms, reception areas and other commercial spaces.

Each AF206T combines a 6-inch woofer with a separate 1-inch tweeter for clear speech and balanced music reproduction. The metal back enclosure and white metal grille provide a clean installation for commercial ceilings.

For this package, the speakers connect to the EX120D 100V output. Each AF206T can be set to either 3W or 6W on a 100V system, allowing the installer to select the output level that best suits the room and required coverage.

Speaker Load & Amplifier Headroom

The AF206T provides two selectable power settings when used on a 100V system.

The EX120D provides 120W of rated output. Even with all ten speakers set to 6W, the package uses only 60W of amplifier capacity, leaving substantial headroom for dependable operation.

A conservative 80% system-planning target for a 120W amplifier is approximately 96W. The maximum 60W load of this package remains well below that level.

Important: Use the AF206T 100V transformer tap when connected to the EX120D 100V output. Do not use the EX120D 100V and 8–16Ω outputs at the same time.
Keep speaker polarity consistent and add the wattage of all connected speakers before powering the system.

Setup Notes

  1. Install the EX120D in a dry, ventilated location with suitable access for operation and service.
  2. Plan ten ceiling speaker positions to provide even coverage throughout the listening area.
  3. Use the supplied AF206T cutout template and confirm the 175mm ceiling cutout before installation.
  4. Connect the AF206T speakers in parallel on the 100V distributed speaker line.
  5. Select either the 3W or 6W 100V tap on each AF206T according to the required sound level.
  6. Confirm the total speaker wattage before connecting the system to the EX120D 100V output.
  7. Connect Bluetooth, USB, AUX or microphone sources as required.
  8. Begin with volume controls low, then adjust individual source levels, tone controls and master volume gradually.
For larger or unusually shaped spaces, speaker positioning and tap selection should be planned around ceiling height, room layout, background noise and the required listening level.
