Connection Notice: For commercial ceiling speakers, use either the 70V or 100V output and set each speaker to the matching voltage tap. Do not connect transformer-tapped speakers to the 4Ω or 8Ω amplifier terminals.

Four-Speaker Load Examples

Keep at least 20% amplifier headroom. The recommended connected speaker load is therefore no more than 80% of the DXT60’s 60W rating.

60W × 0.80 = 48W maximum recommended load
Tap Selection Total Speaker Load Guidance
4 × 3.5W at 70V 14W Suitable for low-level background music
4 × 7.5W 30W Recommended for normal office or retail use
2 × 15W + 2 × 7.5W 45W Acceptable when two areas require more output
4 × 15W 60W Not recommended because no 20% headroom remains
4 × 30W at 100V 120W Do not use because the load exceeds amplifier capacity
Suggested starting point: Set all four speakers to 7.5W for a combined 30W load.
Use either the 70V or 100V output and set every speaker to the matching voltage tap. Do not connect transformer-tapped speakers to the 4Ω or 8Ω amplifier terminals.
